Good Morning Officer

Yup, got a speeding ticket today. I fought the law and the law won. Screw the guy that ever said "Stick It To The Man." All that gets you is a bad day and a $226.50 ticket. Awesome.

Pretty much, I was going on a backroad in Roanoke and I thought the speed limit was 30 but it was actually 25. I was going 35, ya know following the 5 over policy, but that really meant 10 over! Anyways the motorcycle cop was hiding in a corner and speed trapped me. Kinda sucks. I will have my day in court in a few months. CANT WAIT. All my years of watching Law and Order reruns and cop shows has finally paid off. I'm thinking I'll counter sue and take that cop down. Or I could just pay the ticket, but where's the fun in that :)

Mo Ranch StuCo Workshop

This weekend, our student council drove 7 hours to Mo Ranch! It was probably the most fun I've had in a while!

The car rights with StuCo people always kick butt! Filled with hours and hours of dancing and music, it was a PARTY! We got to miss a whole day of school Friday in order to drive up!

When we got there, we had several general sessions with a public speaker named Scott. Scott was an amazing speaker and I learned a lot about things that I want to change about myself and my school. The major lesson Scott taught that really set in with me was when he said that "Our greatest strengths always comes from times of our greatest disasters." This made me think back to my four-wheeling accident and how much I feel I've grown from that. Made me think of how many other people are struggling and going through disasters of their own. I made some of my best friends and learned my biggest lessons while going through surgeries and dealing with all the repercussions of it. It was a huge learning point in my life when I learned to appreciate the small things and value every good moment you have because you never know when it could be your last. I learned to not take life for granted and live it to the fullest. I also learned to be patient and that there is always a plan in place and the more positive you look at things, the better off they'll actually end up!

We got to meet a lot of new people and spend some time with other schools which was a lot of fun! Can't wait to go again next year!

Going to Boston Baby

Boston, Massachusetts is single handedly my favorite city in the world. No joke. Hands down, my favorite place. This week my dad and I met up with Travis, J-Dog, Nate, Matt, and Marc and we stayed the weekend Beantown! It was the greatest time hanging with all the guys!

My favorite part of the trip was definitely the Fenway tour. I love Fenway with all my heart. Just the feeling you get walking out and seeing the Green Monster is indescribable. We got to go and check out the visiting club house, sit above the Monster, sit in the old wooden seats, and spend some cash in their AMAZING store. My wallet was definitely a LOT lighter after that store... :) I loved every bit of the tour but one of the coolest parts was being able to sit in the same seat that Brad Pitt did in Moneyball up in the press box! Pretty sick overall! It was awesome!

Just touring the city and checking out all the historical sights was pretty cool too. There is so much history and crazy stuff that happened there! It's really cool. We checked out the site of the Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party (and took a tour there), and pretty much saw most of the city while riding the trolly!  It's such a neat culture there! I love it.

But, a close second to my favorite part of the trip was the Celtics game we went to! The C's lost because of a crappy last minute "jump ball" call but the game was really entertaining overall! My fav part of the game was that on the jumbotron, they kept flashing to this guy in a hideous wolf sweater and everytime he popped up, everyone would howl at the same time; it was hilarious! They flashed to him at least 40 times! It was too great! I love the Garden and the C's game didn't disappoint!

Overall, I had a BLAST in Boston and would go back any day of the week!

I love Christmas. It is the best time of the year. Great music. Tasty food. Even tastier goodies. It just an overall good time! And this year didn't disappoint!

I was most pumped that I got to see Lexi this Christmas! Didn't really realize how much I missed her and how different it has been since she left! But it was good to spend some time with her and just goof off like we always do!!

It was a ton of fun to go to Texas Motor Speedway and checking out this Christmas light show they had going on! They had lights set up all over the track and we just drove around! It was really sweet! The only problem was that I had my wisdom teeth taken out like 3 days before that! I have never been in so much pain before! It SUCKED big time! Not a fun way to spend the few days before Christmas! But, it happens! The lights were still really cool even if I had to check them out with an ice pack wrapped around my head! HAHA!

We spent Christmas Eve hangin with the family and cousins and just chilling! It was a lot of fun! I love Christmas Eve with the family!

Christmas day, we had SNOW. Oh yeah!! I love the snow! We went to our Christmas movie while driving in the snow! So cool!! Overall, Christmas was a good one this year! Love this amazing time of the year!

ICE With My Boys

Can I just say that the Sands boys might be my favorite two little guys in this whole world. Beckett will always be my "best bud" (as he says) and Aiden will always have my back! Gotta love em!

Anyways, we went and did ICE at the Gaylord with the Sands family and it was a total blast! Anytime I get to hang with Beck is always a good time! This year all of ICE was Madagascar. The kids and I loved it! It always amazes me out intricate the sculptures are even though its freezing cold in there! We had a blast checking all of it out and I'm pumped we were able to go again this year.

I always love going to the Gaylord at Christmas time. It's one of my favorite Christmas traditions even though we take TOO many pictures! It's always a good time to hang with the fam. This year didn't disappoint!

We Will Rebuild

We went over to Angie's house and continued our annual tradition of making Gingerbread houses today! It was loads of fun as always!

This year, Lexi and I decided to join forces and make a mega team! Lexi, dad, Brandon, kinda Ben, and I began our work of making an extreme double decker house! However, we are kinda all ideas and no follow through. We attempted to put the house together several times, but it fell time and time again, so we decided to take the easy way out.

Using some of Brandon's toy construction trucks, and with some icing writing "We Will Rebuild", we made it look like our failure was on purpose; making it seem as though we planned to make a destroyed house on purpose, just to be funny! Ours definitely was the most creative and got the most laughs! It was really good to go back and hang with the boys! Had a lot of fun.

Thanksgiving

The Rawe fam packed ourselves on up and headed down up to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving this year! Such a good time with Trav, Marc, Tommy, and all the cousins!

Before hitting Vegas, we stopped at the Grand Canyon. Can I just say, it was UNBELIEVABLE. Any picture you may have seen before does not do it justice! It stretched on forever and was a really cool experience. I loved hanging with my boys J-Dog and Johnny and just goofing around. It was a lot of fun! We stayed the night in this little town that I'm pretty sure was really Radiator Springs! We ate at little diners and it was pretty neat! Also while there, we road the Polar Express at night which all the kids though was really cool! Overall, it was a lot of fun and a cool pit stop before hittin up Vegas!

Well, you know what they say... What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas. But, what the heck, I'll tell! We met up with Uncle Marc which was sweet because we haven't seen him in years! He's still just as cool as the last time we saw him, making jokes and being awesome! We hung out in the city for a few days, taking it all in, driving the strip and checking out all the hotels. It really is a freaking awesome city! One of my favorite parts was the 3 story Coke store! It was pretty cool! They had everything in there and I most definitely walked out with some new Coke shirts :)

We ate some Thanksgiving dinner at Marc's house, played a little football, and watched the big games! It was a great week to just chill, hang with the family, and reunite with the cousins!! Good Times!

Halloween

This year for Halloween, I was that lame teenage kid that didn't dress up for Halloween. Lame, I know! HaHa! But it's still always hilarious watching all the kids get all pumped up to get loads of candy and goodies!

We hung with the Sands on Halloween night; walking around their neighborhood with the kids and just talking and hanging out! It was good times. I never get tired of the Sands kids!

Pumpkin Patch

Megan, my momma, and I went to the Pumpkin Patch in the freaking butt cold tonight! It was a ton of fun even though I was freezing my nads off! We tried hitting up like two pumpkin patches before we finally came to this one! The others were beyond sketchy and I was just waiting to get shot pulling into them!

Anyways, we finally made it to this Pumpkin Patch and it was a ton of fun. They had the sweet old Chevy truck that I would drive in a heart beat! There were great pumpkins and corn maze and overall it was a lot of fun! It was a little weird going to the Pumpkin Patch without Lexi for the first time, but we still had a good time!
